NBA STARS LEAD GERMANY TO WIN

ATHENS–Dirk Nowitzki and Chris Kaman led Germany to a 104-68 win over Cape Verde in Olympic basketball qualifying yesterday.

Nowitzki, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, had 16 points and five rebounds. Kaman, who was born in the U.S. and plays for the L.A. Clippers, added 10 points in his debut for Germany.

"The problem is I don't speak any German," Kaman, 26, said. "These guys have been playing together for 10 years now. They've been very welcoming. It reminds me of college."
